If the player holds F, a light colored reticule should pop up, this reticule is tethered to the players hero, moving the mouse holding F should stretch the reticuled tether, if F is released the tether should bungie back to the hero and fade away. If all the selected Units are already in follow mode, pressing right click again will tell them to wait. Units in follow mode will defend the hero, and each other automatically. Units with Right-Click should be told to follow the hero. Greater command control.So I would like to propose the ability to give greated control to unit direction with a reticule, as well as have them follow you. Ideally I think I should be able to pull the entire procedure off in a single sequence, sending in my vanguard without having to give up my position, and already be on my way to the primary target while the opponent is only just taking notice of the distraction. I want to sneak a gang of chameleons into an enemy base, and first distract them with a group of squirrels, I am forced to walk the squirrels right into their camp, both wasting time and allowing the opponent to track my position while I run back and around to pull my stealth units in. The idea of the game is to minimise micro, but it actually enforces unnecessary micro upon the player, micro that can completely ruin the idea of smoke screen tactics. Not being able to let your units charge ahead of your position, I find it hard if not impossible to execute certain flanking and diversionary manoeuvres. I'm archiving thoughts gathered from some of the people less happy with the controls here. enough that it might be worth some discussion. So, I've 'been seeing more than a little consteration over the controls lately.
